Crab Feed 2009 a Success

The much anticipated Crab Feed took place on Saturday February 21 in the St. Alphonsus Family Center. Over 200 people attended, had a lot of fun, ate a ton of crab, and helped to raise money for our charities. For a full list of events and meetings click here.

Who We Are

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with over 1.6 million members. We are a dynamic group of men of all ages who are interested in: Raising faithful, loving families; Building strong friendships with other Catholic men in the community and; Getting more involved in Parish, School &.Community Life through service. We provide members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

What We Do

Some of the activities our Council undertakes are the Annual Crab Dinner, Vocations &.Scholarship support, School Auction &.Italian Dinner help, Pro-Life prayer services &.essay contest, Youth Free Throw Contest, Coffee and Donuts help, and Blood Drives. How to Join

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application forms are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus (look for us at Mass wearing our blue, Knights of Columbus name badges) or by clicking here.

Ballard Council Information

Council 12889 was founded in 2001. We work closely with St. Alphonsus Parish providing funds and volunteering for various parish projects. The Msnr. Achtergael Council is located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle just north of the Ballard bridge on 15th Ave. NW at St. Alphonsus Church. The council is currently made up of members primarily from, but not limited to, St. Alphonsus Parish. Our monthly Council Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month, at 7pm, in the St. Alphonsus Family Center. You can contact the Knights through our contact page.

Ballard Council Member Make Up

Council 12889 is made up of a diverse group of men of various ages and backgrounds. From those who were born and raised in the Ballard area to those who have come to Ballard from half way across the world, we enjoy the camaraderie and fulfillment that be a Knight offers.
